m4m Music Camp 2019

Music is a wonderful art form that children of all ages can learn. Music is fun way to make learning fun.

The m4m music camp will teach the fundamentals of music. Students will learn to identify a treble clef and bass clef. Students will learn notes on a staff, key signatures and time signatures.

During the m4m camp music is used to learn sign language and bells. In addition, music is used to introduce life skills such as respect,  friendship, persistence, courage, honesty, and team work.

Students will be able to distinguish various genres of music, such as a waltz from a march. As well as identify Latin and African rhythms at the completion of the four day camp.

A concert is held the last day of the m4m music camp to highlight student's musical talents and to showcase community artists. The m4m camp is free and open to the community.

m4m Music Camp Consultants

Michael J. Vance, Sr is the co-founder of the m4m music camp and has served over 20 years on the music ministry team of the Phillips Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Huntsville, Alabama.

Ardella Vance - is the co-founder for the m4m music camp and a retired elementary teacher for the Huntsville City Schools. Ardella has played clarinet for the Oakwood University Symphony and sings alto for the First Church Choral in Huntsville, Alabama.

Michaila Allison is the m4m camp director and has served as the lead teacher for the Susan Wesley Child Development Center at the First United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Alabama for over 15 years.
